I have used the chevy S-10 chassis. Anything in the 90's works good. Its small, easy to find parts, and easy to add parts to, such as a 9" rear end. or mustang2
front-end, if it was called for.
On some of the swaps I have done, I have left it stock, it gives you a good foundation to build on.

When you have done things right, people won't be sure you have done any thing at all.

Chassis Engineering has a kit to convert the front to Mustang II and to convert the rear to whatever. It all depends on what your planning on running for power.
